To enhance the understanding of Korean cultural heritage dispersed around the world, increase the awareness of its value, and ensure that it is well utilized in exhibitions, education, and research both in Korean and abroad, it is crucial to understand the current status of overseas cultural heritage beforehand.

In this light, we undertake professional systematic surveys and research utilizing a wide range of means, including dispatching experts, accessing local experts, consulting relevant surveys and research at home and abroad, and collecting relevant data.

Our findings are shared with the public through diverse statistics and publications, and they are used as fundamental data for supporting the utilization and repatriation of overseas Korean cultural heritage.
