“We aim to share with the world the significance of the Korean cultural heritage held overseas.”
Kim Junghee Chair Overseas Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation
The Overseas Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation was established in July 2012 as an affiliate of the Korea Heritage Service to undertake comprehensive projects on Korean cultural properties found scattered outside of the country.
The foundation pursues the repatriation of Korean cultural properties that were removed from Korea unlawfully or otherwise wrongfully. It provides support projects for properties that were brought out of Korea by legitimate means so that they can be more widely utilized in their new homes. Above all, we are working diligently to more fully convey the significance of overseas Korean cultural heritage. We kindly ask for your interest and support so that precious Korean cultural properties can be widely appreciated around the world.
